WoW Jewelcrafting Guide

This guide provides you the cheapest and the quickest way to level Jewelcrafting. It uses designs obtained only from vendors or trainers. So you won't go through the whole world to get rare design and got 2 more points in your skill. To get the information about specific design (its source) you can click on its title.

Jewelcrafting is one of the most expensive professions to level–up. You may want to save some gold by choosing a correct profession pair. A great pair for jewelcrafting is mining. Jewelcrafters can prospect ore and recieve gems for their needs. So by choosing mining you can save a lot of gold on materials. Another great option is enchanting. You can disenchant almost every item you will craft and sell the reagents at AH.

	These recipes will be yellow when you learn them so you will need to cut something around 30 of any of these gems to get to 320. Use any comination of recipes to get yourself to 320.

	These recipes will be yellow when you learn them so you will need to cut something around 7 of any of these gems to get to 325. Use any comination of recipes to get yourself to 325.
325–335	13 x Mercurial Adamantite	13 52
	Keep these for future use. If you didn't hit 335 with this – cut any of gems to 335 skill.
335–340	7 x Any gem cut learnt at 325	7 7 7 7 7 7
	These recipes will be yellow when you learn them so you will need to cut something around 7 of any of these gems to get to 340. Use any comination of recipes to get yourself to 340.
340–350	13 x Heavy Adamantite Ring	13 13
	This one turns yellow at 345 so you may to create some extra rings to get 350. You can also try to hit 350 by cutting gems from 335–340 step but they will be green after 340.

	Choose the cheapest way of crafting these designs to get yourself up to 475 skills.
485–495	10 x Nightstone Choker	20 10
495–525	The main skill ups at this range will come from designs purchased for jewelcrafters daily tokens. Complete some jewelcraft dailies and choose the design that will grant you the best profit and use it for leveling. Some additional tips: you can continue crafting Nightstone Choker up to 505 skill (it will become green there). Remember to create Fire Prism every cooldown. It will give you skill up and some valueable gems. The only gem you can cut for leveling up to 525 is cataclysm meta gem – Shadowspirit Diamond. You can also craft Rhinestone Sunglasses to get 525 skill.

Prospecting ore

Jewelcrafters can create gems from raw by prospecting it. You need 5 ore of the same type if to prospect it. You will receive from to 3 gems per prospect. You can't level up jewelcrafting with prospecting; it's just an additional source of gems. Since patch 3.2.0 you can prospect titanium ore. While prospecting titanium ore you have a small chance to receive an epic gem.

The list is approximate, there are some twists in leveling Jewelcrafting and you can choose one or other way. That's why you can need more or less of materials to get 525. Treat this list as an appraisal, not ready recipe. Don't use it to go to Auction House and buy everything at once.
